LIVING PROPHETS
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is led by revelation to a living prophet, who, like Moses, Abraham, Peter and other prophets in ancient times, receives God's word. (Amos 3:7).
Men need God's guidance in a world which is sometimes confusing. Because God loves his children, He continues to send prophets. Joseph Smith (1805-1844) was the first prophet in modern times.
Today, Gordon B. Hinckley is the chosen prophet of God and the current President of the Church.
