- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is one of the fastest growing Christian churches in the world.

German members donated to the Red Cross 110,000 Euro for the victims of the Nyiragongo volcano eruption in January 2002. The Church also engages in major humanitarian relief efforts around the world. Since 1985, assistance valued at more than 456 million dollars has been given in 150 countries.
- Flood-stricken cities in three European nations benefited from cash donations from the Church. The Church worked with local governments and relief groups to purchase $635,000 worth of food, pumps, cleaning supplies and drying equipment.
